Rent vacation accommodation in the hills above Grasse and visit the world perfumery capital on the Côte d'Azur. Grasse old town has narrow streets, ancient houses and mansions.  Don’t miss the 12th century cathedral which was restored in the 17th century, wonderful paintings by Rubens and Fragonard.  Fans of Fragonard will visit the Villa-Musée Fragonard which houses paintings, sketches and drawings. A visit to Grasse always includes a tour of the International Museum of Perfumery where you can see the different stages in perfume making.  It’s also worth visiting the Musée de la Marine, the costume and jewellery museum and the Provencale Art and History Museum.  In early August the Fête du Jasmin is held in Grasse. There are wonderful walks in the hillsides above Grasse. A few kilometres from Grasse are the pretty villages of Cabris and Saint Vallier de Thiey. If you come to Grasse with your children, you can take them to see the Saint Cézaire caves and the Mont d’Azur nature reserve where you can see animals living naturally.
